Etherspot has integrated with Subs Protocol to offer developers the flexibility to pay for their subscription plans using stablecoins. This collaboration is all about making life easier for developers in the Web3 space.

Subscription payment with stablecoins (A step-by-step guide)

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how developers can pay for their Etherspot subscription using stablecoins through Subs Protocol:

  1. Register or log in to the Etherspot developer portal to generate your API key.
  2. Select the most convenient subscription plan. To be able to pay in stablecoins, click the option for payments with USDC, USDT and DAI on the top of the page.

You will be redirected to the payment page.

  1. Connect your wallet by clicking “Login” in the top right corner.
  2. Choose a subscription plan that suits your project needs.
  3. Select a preferred stablecoin on the payment page (USDC, USDT or DAI).
  4. You need to enter your email address and select your subscription duration.
  5. Give permission for the stablecoin transaction. Please ensure you approve the necessary amount of stablecoins to prevent any issues. This specified amount serves as an allowance for the smart contract only, you will never be charged beyond the monthly subscription.
  6. Pay the stablecoin amount for the first month to activate your subscription. Hit “Get access” to finalize.

Managing Your Subscription

Monthly Payments: Subscriptions are billed monthly, similar to traditional subscription services.

Payment Renewal: If you lack funds at the end of a payment period, Subs Protocol will wait for a defined grace period before retrying the payment and potentially deactivating your subscription.

Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription anytime by disapproving the token access. This can be done directly from your wallet or on this subscription management page.

After the payment, create your project at the Etherspot developer portal by following the steps in this tutorial https://etherspot.fyi/prime-sdk/api-key-portal, and submit your request. You will receive your API key as soon as the request is processed.
